Jacques Loomans

As director of Le Champion, Jacques leads the biggest sports club of the Netherlands and oversees countless event management processes. He has a background in both psychology and business administration, which helped him during multiple years of leadership experience in the healthcare sector. Jacques aspires to develop and literally get people moving.
Ernst Ligthart
Ernst LigthartSupervisory Board member at AFC Ajax
Ernst started his career as a lawyer and was managing partner of a law firm until 2015. As of 2016, he became Partner at 24legal. Beside that, he had a seat in the disciplinary committee of the KNVB until 2013. Since 2015, he is on the Supervisory Board of AFC Ajax as well as at the Amsterdam ArenA. Ernst participated in the Commissioners Cycle program at Nyenrode during the academic year of 2014 – 2014.
Billy van den Ende
Billy van den EndeCountry Manager Netherlands at Canyon Bicycles
Billy has an extensive background in entrepreneur-ship and business development. As of 2012, he is Country Manager Benelux for Canyon bicycles, supplier for e.g., the UCI World Tour cycling team Movistar. Canyon distinguishes itself by delivering its bicycles directly to the consumer. Hence, Billy’s leadership in sports affects both high performance and recreational sports.
Cees Juffermans
Cees JuffermansSports Federations & Charity at Nederlandse Loterij
Cees is a former professional Dutch short track speed-skater. He competed in the 2002 and the 2006 Olympic Games. After the Games in Turin, Cees switched to marathon speed-skating. When he retired all together, he started working as a sports analyst at the NOS. Nowadays, he has a management function the Nederlandse Loterij. In addition, he is chairman of the athletes commission of the Dutch skating union: the KNSB.
Hanneke van der Marel
Hanneke van der MarelDirector at Vereniging Sport Utrecht
Hanneke is Managing Director at Vereniging Sport Utrecht. This organization represents 260 sports clubs in Utrecht and supports sports talents in the Utrecht region on behalf of NOC*NSF. “Vitality” is one of her key drivers as an entrepreneur and leader in sports. She is also a member of the Nationaal Platform Duurzame Inzetbaarheid (NPDI), an organization that delivers sustainable solutions around mental and physical employee vitality opportunities.
Boris Kusmirak
Boris KusmirakManaging Partner at Gympass
Boris was a professional long track speed skater between 2005 and 2011. After his sports career, he started working at iSkate, an organization that supports speed skaters during their careers. In 2015, he started as board member at the NIMA Dutch Sales Platform and as business development manager at ORTEC. Boris recently started his new role at Gympass.
Lucas Judge
Lucas JudgeField hockey coach at Oranje Rood
Growing up in Australia, Lucas played soccer, swimming, cricket, tennis and field hockey. At 22, he moved to the Netherlands where he played in the highest field hockey league for 10 years. He played as an international for the Dutch field hockey team 17 times. As a coach, he was involved with the Dutch and South African national team, now he is head Coach of the first men’s team at Oranje Rood.
Frank Thewessem
Frank ThewessemCEO at Topsport Amsterdam
With an extensive history as an employer at Randstad, Frank came in touch with pro athletes both personally and professionally: “I have always been inspired by the passion and mentality of top athletes. Their drive and ambition to get the best out of themselves is an example for me.” This makes his appointment as CEO of Topsport Amsterdam an obvious step in his career. He will be responsible for Amsterdam as a sports city and turning it into an international High Performance Center.
Jayant Kaulesar Sukul
Jayant Kaulesar SukulGlobal Tax Manager at Fargon BV
Jayant has competed at national level in field hockey, golf and speed skating. Nowadays, he is closely involved in the managerial and strategic organization of sports at clubs. Also, Jayant works as a Global Tax Manager and is responsible for all tax related issues within a Dutch listed pharmaceutical company, Fargon BV.
Pieter Bas Bruggink
Pieter Bas BrugginkConsultant at Waterwatch Cooperative
Pieter Bas is entrepreneur and consultant in the field of sports, sustainability and innovation. He aims to integrate these themes into new business concepts, by implementing next level leadership, in order to create growth opportunities for companies and individuals. Until a few years ago, Pieter Bas was a field hockey player in the first teams of Pinoké and Amsterdam.
Reinoud Wolff
Reinoud WolffField hockey coach HC Rotterdam and owner at Finoradam
Reinoud has a long coaching history in field hockey. He coached several clubs in different leagues of the Dutch competition. Twice he was coach of the team winning the national title, most recently with the first men’s team of HC Rotterdam. This was their first title ever. As of 2016, Reinoud is head coach of Gooische, a club where he himself used to play.
Frank Gimbrère
Frank GimbrèreManager HC Rotterdam Men's First team
Frank has a rich background in both real estate and field hockey. He was a player himself for 40 years, after which he started managing teams in the highest Dutch field hockey league (Hoofdklasse). He is now active as manager of the men’s first team at HC Rotterdam.
Ronald Lamsma

Ronald works as a marketer in the financial industry and has a passion for sports and journalism. In his spare time, he combines his experience in sponsoring and marketing with his passion for presenting sports on TV and radio. Ronald likes to extend his knowledge and network in sports and is also looking forward to taking the next steps in his personal development journey.
Marja Spreij
Marja SpreijDirector at Kaag en Brasem and field hockey coach
Marja’s study background is in physical education, but she has been working for various city councils. Currently, she is the Director of Kaag en Brasem. She played field hockey in the past and is currently coaching a men’s team in field hockey. Marja is looking for an inspirational environment and a group of participants with the same drive and ambition to make a difference in high performance environments towards the future.
Walter van der Mast
Walter van der MastEntrepreneur in Sports & Health
Walter is already a Nyenrode alumnus, graduating with a Bachelor in Business Administration in 1987. Now he is back in the classroom to improve his skills even further. Walter has a background in rugby. He was president of Rugby Club Etten-Leur and chairman of both the financial and the ereklasse commission at the Nederlandse Rugby Bond (NRB). Walter will soon be opening a medial sports clinic in the area of Breda.
Marjon Kooistra
Marjon KooistraOwner at Kooistra Coaching
Marjon has an impressive track record in the world of high performance sailing. From the Volvo Ocean Race to the Olympic Games, from an active athlete to coaching and management, Marjon has done it all. At the moment, Marjon is running her own company ‘Kooistra Coaching’ with which she executes various activities in high level sport, like developing sailing programs, setting up Olympic training location, and organizing clinics to inspire youth.
Merijn Zeeman
Merijn ZeemanCoach at team LottoNL-Jumbo Cycling
Merijn was a cyclist until the age of 22. He then started coaching amateur teams until he joined Skill-Shimano in 2009. He later joined team Rabobank, now LottoNL-Jumbo. He already has an extensive background in education, Merijn graduated at the Academy of Physical Education, finished the TopCoach5 program and a Master in Coaching.
